The Village
A rough and wild territory, rich in granitic rocks made smooth by the wind, the rain, and the sea; a maquis vegetation colourful and perfumed with myrtle, strawberry trees, and cork-oaks standing out amoung the other trees: this is Sardinia.
The apartments in Puntaldia are almost hidden in the maquis, surrounded by the green vegetation and by the deep blue sea. If every house is different from the other, all of them share a same architectural style influenced by the landscape and by the tradition: hand-carved white granites, pink rocks, and ancient terracotta tiles for the rooves.
The interiors have wooden trusses, terracotta floors, mahogany frames and shutters, artisanal ceramic tiles from Sardinia. Modern elements are added to the traditional style, creating a perfectly harmonious mix: terraces facing the sea, porches whose design responds to the need of preserving the vegetation, gardens integrating the wild nature of Gallura.
